Termite Palace Jacket (Custom)
History:
September 8, 1975 with the new state of the art facility ready to go in Halawa, the "Old Stadium" designed to last 10-15 years has finally run out of time. The Hawaii Islanders beat Salt Lake City 8-0 to with the teams first Pacific Coast League championship. After the game, the crowd joins together to sing Aloha 'Oe, then the lights go out.
Honolulu Stadium was built mostly of wood, so by the 1960s, it took on a new nickname thanks to some unwanted occupants. After awhile, it was called "Termite Palace".
Features:
This custom "Termite Palace" jacket is built from a vintage Ebbets Field Flannels blank stock.
The left chest features our new Hawaii Islanders patch, which was inspired from an actual 1961 ticket.
The back has a hand cut "Termite Palace" stitched in single yellow felt.
